Synchronized Post Publisher

Synchronized Post Publisher

If you’re managing a website or blog that cycles through and publishes a lot of posts and pages and are finding it hard to keep track of it all, then Synchronized Post Publisher is sure to help you out.

What is Synchronized Post Publisher?

Synchronized Post Publisher is a free WordPress plugin developed by Mike Howard that adds a group function to your tab that in turn lets you group up your pages, posts and MailChimp email campaigns for much easier publishing (be it momentarily or scheduled).

You can change the settings and add mail campaigns with MailChimp

How does it work?

Adding groups is as simple as adding a post

After installing and activating the plugin, you’re presented with a new option on your WordPress tabs named SPP Groups. With it, you can set up publishing groups for your material. To add posts or pages to the groups, you only have to select a group from the newly added publishing tab, and it’s automatically added.

A new option will be added to the publishing options to add posts to groups

This plugin is particularly useful when you need to publish a larger amount of content that’s in, at least roughly, the same target category. For example, let’s say you’re about to launch a new computer hardware component like a gamepad or gaming headphones. At the time of launch, you will want to have a product page, a post that covers certain testing and product specification and maybe even an email campaign if you’re new to the scene (the plugin is integrated with the MailChimp platform). It’s important to note that the SPP works with all eCommerce plugins like Easy Digital Downloads and others.

As you probably already know, all of this can be done manually one by one in WordPress already, but this plugin makes it so much easier both to plan and execute. By grouping everything, you will be able to publish the entire group instead of going through each of the posts, pages, and campaigns manually.

You can preview your groups and check everything added to them as well as schedule a publishing date

Costs, Caveats, Etc.

Synchronized Post Publisher is a fairly new plugin that was launched in April 2018. Since then it’s gotten up to version 1.2 as of the time of writing. It doesn’t have many active installations since it hasn’t been out that long, but its popularity is growing.

Whether you’re deeply involved with product release or are just looking for a way to simplify your publishing options in WordPress, Synchronized Post Publisher is surely the plugin for you.
